This is when we locked eyes for the first time. The most precious moment!!
Mommy and daddy woke up very early on a September morning. We excitedly hopped in the car and drove to DeTar Hospital to have you! After more than 39 hours, you finally came out on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 6:53 pm. You weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and were 20 1/4 inches long.
You were the most precious thing we had ever seen!! Mommy and daddy both cried out of happiness and joy for a long time, we couldn't get enough of you! When mommy held you for the first time, you stared in my eyes. I will never forget that moment we locked eyes for the first time. Holding and seeing you was a moment I had been waiting for since I was a little girl. I had been waiting my whole life to meet you, Lila! Daddy was a big help in the hospital too, he changed your diapers and gave you a paci, and proudly showed you off to all who came to visit!
I want to give my life learning how to be a better wife, mom, sister and friend. I love yummy food, guitars, campfires, red wine, rivers, passion, good conversation, great books, back porches, the smell of babies, having purpose, and BEING HONEST!!
